Soar - The Yearly Bulletin
Welcome one, welcome all to the first edition of RCUPG’ s bulletin named Soar. This year has been very special to all of us. Through ups and downs we have stuck together to form a team that is stronger, greater and more successful. We hope you join in to the ride and help this club reach new heights.
To begin with, we’d like to acknowledge certain people for their help and guidance throughout the tough times.
To DRR Rtr. Om Chawla for beginning the year on such a good note. To Rtr. Bharat Patel for being the helping hand to so many. To President Rtr. Purvi Patel and her team, without which none of this would be possible. We thank you for your unconditional love and support.
To me, personally, the word Soar holds a lot of importance. It is the ultimate achievement an individual could have – to soar beyond their hopes and dreams. RCUPG has seen some great times with it. It in fact has soared to amazing levels. But at the same time, it has seen some troubled times, where the integrity of the team had been compromised. But this year, we plan to revive everything, even if it means to start from scratch. The rate at what our club is performing is highly contagious. We plan to have so much more and show not just other districts but also this entire nation about our work, and hopefully maybe even beyond that.
To me, being a part of RCUPG means a lot. I was a member last year and I saw my seniors with utmost respect and care. I wanted to be where they were. To even maybe be President someday. And today I realise, as Joint Secretary and Editor that maybe not all fairy tales are fictitious. Maybe dreams and hopes do come true.
So why do I think joining RCUPG is so important? Other than the fact that we have a brilliant president and the club is doing so well, I think the fact that Rotaract does so much for the betterment of the community as well as the country says a lot. I am honoured to be a part of a club that gives so much to so many and keeps Soaring beyond the horizon.
