What is RCUPG?

RCUPG, ONE club, FIVE letters, yet, innumerable connotations!

A provider of opportunities waiting to be encountered, a yearning for an aspirant, a source of beautiful memories for its members, a platform to grow for its Board Of Directors, a way of life for its Core Team, and life itself for its Presidents! And most importantly, a force that promises to bind the RCUPGites with the outer world.

The Rotaract Club of UPG College is the UPG counterpart of the prestigious worldwide Rotaract fraternity, with a well-established network in more than 206 countries. With over 120 clubs in Mumbai itself, the Rotaract movement is scaling new vistas with every passing year.

Rtr. Husena Painter’s unwavering resolve and relentless perseverance were responsible for this club’s inception in UPG College in 2010, and well the rest is history. There is no looking back, and with every passing year, the club has witnessed an unwavering skyward bound progress.

All Rotaractors choose their own paths in Rotaract Club and find their own ways to serve. Together, all of us are building healthier, happier, and stronger communities — and a more peaceful world.

About Rotaract District 3141

“Be the change you want to see” and Rotaract is an international youth organization that undertakes the process of creating responsible citizens of the world to bring about the positive change. The organisation is made of young adults in the age category of 18 to 30 years. It’s a parallel world from those who believe they can make a difference. The purpose of Rotaract is to empower young men and women with an opportunity to enhance knowledge and skills that will assist them in their self development, to address the physical and social needs of their communities, and to promote harmonious relations amongst all people worldwide through commonly shared emotions of friendship and service.

About Rotaract and Rotary

Rotaract clubs are part of a global effort to bring peace and international understanding to the world. This effort starts at the community level but knows no limits in its outreach. Rotaractors have access to the many resources of Rotary International (RI) and The Rotary Foundation. Rotary International provides the administrative support that helps Rotaract clubs thrive.

Rotaract brings together adults ages 18-30 to take action in their communities, develop their leadership and professional skills, and have fun. Rotary clubs sponsor them, but Rotaract members manage and fund their clubs independently.

As you connect with other young leaders in Rotaract, you can take advantage of all that Rotary has to offer like Scholarships and peace fellowship, RYLA events and Friendship exchanges or vocational training teams.
